Only Delegate from Insurance Intermediary, Mr. Bao Rongqing, Chairman of SAIB, Attended & Made Speech at Symposium on Reform And Development of Insurance Industry

Mr. Wang Qishan, member of Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of State Council, had paid an inspection visit in Shanghai from 20 to 21 in April 2012, during the time he presided the symposium on reform and development of insurance industry on the morning of 21 April. At the meeting, he emphasized that insurance industry played an important role in developing economy, ensuring the people wellbeing, creating job opportunities and expanding domestic demand. At the same time, he stressed that it is necessary to carry out seriously the scientific outlook on development, firmly grasp the general tone of steady advance, transform development mode of the insurance industry, accelerate reform and innovation, expand open policy to the outside world, promote the healthy and stable development of insurance industry, satisfy the people growing demand on insurance, better serve the economic and social development in accordance with the requirement by the central economic work conference and national financial work conference and welcome the 18th session of the CCP with the outstanding achievement.

The head of the People Insurance Company (Group) of China Limited, China Life Insurance (Group) Company Limited, China Taiping Insurance (Group) Company Limited, China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, Ping An Insurance Company (Group) of China Limited, Dazhong Insurance Company Limited and Shanghai Asian Insurance Brokers Co. Limited, were invited to the symposium and made report. As the only delegate from insurance intermediary industry, Mr. Bao Rongqing, Chairman of SAIB, was invited to report to Vice Premier Wang Qishan on the development of SAIB, challenges faced by the insurance intermediary industry and suggestions on its development.
