Shanghai Asia (UK) Limited attended the Lloyd’s UK-China Insurance Networking Event

On Nov 9th, 2016, as invited by the Department for International Trade, UK (DIT, was UKIT), Ms Pu Huiqiong, Chairman of Shanghai Asia (UK) Limited, attended the Lloyd’s UK-China Insurance Networking Event. The meeting hosted by Lloyd’s for the senior delegation of Chinese insurance sectors was part of the 8th China-Britain talks on trade, investment, financial services and energy.

The Chinese delegation visited the Lloyd’s Building and learned about the business operation of Lloyd’s. Speeches were given by John Nelson, Chairman of Lloyd’s, ZHANG Hong, President of China Re, XIE Yiqun, Vice-president of PICC, and GAO Guofu, Chairman of CPIC.

This visit was not only a remarkable meeting for China-Britain cooperation on Investment & Trade, but a stimulator for deepening the co-develop on Chinese and British insurance sectors. As the first registered Insurance Broker at Lloyd’s, SAIB would surely contribute to the co-develop of Chinese & British insurance sectors by virtue of the means of advanced empirical risk management of Lloyd’s.
