SAIB Jiangsu Platform & Hubei Platform Were Invited to “2018 Teleconference of Road & Waterway Safety work for Spring Festival Travel Rush”(2018-2-11)

On Feb 8th 2018, MOT held the “2018 Teleconference of Road & Waterway Safety work for Spring Festival Travel Rush – Q1 Teleconference of National Road Transport Safety situation and analysis”. Vice Minister Liu Xiaoming, Safety Director Cheng Ping and Deputy Director Wang Xiuchun, relevant officers of every provincial transportation departments presented in the meeting. SAIB Jiangsu Platform & Hubei Platform have been invited to the teleconference.

Safety Director Cheng Ping presided the meeting. During the conference, Guangdong Provincial Transportation Dept reported the safety guarantee work for 2018 Spring Festival Travel Rush; Hubei Provincial Transportation Dept reported the establishment & results of the third party safety monitoring platform; Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Dept reported the application & results of “Active Intelligent Control System”; Deputy Director Wang Xiuchun of MOT Transportation services Division announced the inspection results for Spring Festival Travel Rush via road and waterway. Vice Minister Liu Xiaoming concluded and made a speech on “Apply high attention and more measures to ensure the safety work for Spring Festival Travel Rush”. He also conveyed the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the safe work of Spring Festival Travel Rush, and arranged the work of which.

To the safety work for 2018, Deputy Minister Liu Xiaoming proposed a requirement of “scientific planning and continuous promoting of management and regulation”. He specifically emphasized that “we should learn from the practice and experience of Shanghai Hubei and relevant province to continuously promote the participation of third party dynamic monitoring platform in the operational safety management, and stimulate professional third-party societies to join in the dynamic monitoring, in order to improve the supervision efficiency, strengthen the social co-work and to better ensure the safety of road transport”.

In 2017, SAIB has been entrusted by provincial transportation Departments to establish, and successfully operate, Third Party Monitoring Platforms in 9 Provinces and 1 city, which are Shanghai, Jiangsu, Xizang, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Hubei, Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Guangzhou City, Jiangxi. As being highly evaluated and affirmed, The Third-party Platform would continue to fulfill its duty to help protecting the national road transport security.
