SAIBUK Participate in the Second Anniversary Celebration of Association of Chinese Insurance Professionals in the UK (ACIPUK)（2018-6-20）
On May 31st 2018, ACIP second anniversary celebration was held in The Aon Centre, London. SAIBUK Chairman Kathy Pu was invited to the event.
ACIPUK, founded in 2016, is the first Chinese organization for Chinese insurance professionals living and working in the UK. It aims to provide liaison and share industry information to their members, and promote the cooperation and development between China-UK insurance industries. Since its foundation, the organization has got supported by Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the Lloyd’s, insurance companies and governments. It has now become a crucial platform of communication and cooperation for China-UK insurance. Mr. Jin Xu, Commercial counselor of the Chinese embassy in the UK, Sir David Brewer, Former Lord Mayor of City of London, and nearly 100 insurance people from China and UK attended the ceremony. Commercial Counselor Jin Xu gave a speech to congratulate the 2nd ceremony of the organization. He also mentioned that President Xi attached great importance in “Shanghai-London” stock connect whereas Central Bank policy of “6+5+1”, China would welcome more foreign insurance companies.
There are only three Chinese insurance institutions operating in UK, China Taiping, China Re and SAIBUK. As the first Chinese insurance brokers authorized by FCA, SAIBUK has witnessed the developing history of ACIPUK. In the future, SAIBUK will continue to devote its own professional advantage, with the aid of convenient conditions of the organisation, for the Chinese and British enterprises to provide professional services to the insurance arrangement of actively promoting mutual benefit and win-win results between China and the UK insurance market.
