“Road Transportation Safety Education (Guangzhou) Practice Base” was established in Guangzhou (2019-03-25)

On March 12, 2019, “Road Transportation Safety Education (Guangzhou) Practice Base” sponsored by SAIB and Institute for Urban Risk Management of Tongji University was established in Guangzhou, former vice-minister of Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Xu Zuyuan, dean of Institute for Urban Risk Management of Tongji University, former director of the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission Mr. Sun Jianping and director of Guangzhou Traffic Control Center Mr. Huang Qiang jointly inaugurated the base. Chairman of SAIB Mr. Bao Rongqing attended the inauguration ceremony.

On the day of the event, SAIB introduced general operation situation of “Guangzhou Third-Party Safety Monitoring Platform for Road Transportation” and its positive role in strengthening dynamic monitoring and management; institute for Urban Risk Management of Tongji University issued a speech; all sides developed an in-depth exchange of the safety of road transportation. At the same time, all leaders also visited “Guangzhou Third-Party Safety Monitoring Platform for Road Transportation”.

“Guangzhou Third-Party Safety Monitoring Platform for Road Transportation” real-time dynamic monitors vehicles all year round and focuses on monitoring safety hazards such as speeding, fatigue driving and illegal operation since being put into operation, which has become an effective supplement for the government to ensure the city’s traffic safety. The establishment of “Road Transportation Safety Education (Guangzhou) Practice Base” is not only an active exploration of joint construction and research between company and university and developing a pattern of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation in the industry, but also an innovation of SAIB in developing Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Both of them will continue to provide assistance to Guangzhou’s urban risk management.
