SAIB attended “Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China & the 2nd China-UK Economic and Trade Forum & CCCUK 2019 Annual Conference”(2019-07-09)

On June 26, 2019, “Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China & the 2nd China-UK Economic and Trade Forum & CCCUK 2019 Annual Conference” was successfully held by CCCUK at the Financial City Hall in London under the support of Embassy of China in the UK and DIT. SAIBUK is both the council member of CCCUK and one of the partners of this event, its Chairman Ms. Pu Huiqiong and the delegation attended the event.

Adhering to the principle of “openness, cooperation and sharing”, “Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China” gathered nearly 300 people of different area from China and the UK, jointly reviewed the development of British economic and trade cooperation during the last 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, interpreted China’s new measures for opening up, and explored new opportunities for China-UK cooperation under the “Belt and Road” initiative. Chinese Ambassador to the UK Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Investment Minister of DIT Graham Stuart MP, Chairman of CCCPIT Ms. Gao Yan, Councellor of the Embassy of China in the UK Ms. Bao Ling, President of CCCUK and Bank of China London Branch Mr. Fang Wenjian attended the event and spoke. CCCUK also held the 2019 Annual Conference on the evening. The representatives of CCCUK and other important guests gathered to share the development achievement and discuss about the future.

Under the direct leadership of the Embassy of China in the UK, the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK) is an important force for endorsing the interests of Chinese-funded enterprises in the UK and carrying out external activities. It is also an important institution for developing China-UK economic and trade cooperation and promoting China-UK friendship. As the first Chinese insurance brokerage company to join CCCUK, SAIBUK has been the council member of it for three consecutive years. In the future, SAIBUK will continue to earnestly fulfill the duties of council member of CCCUK, promote China-UK economic and cultural cooperation, and actively strengthen cooperation in the field of insurance between China and the UK in the “Golden Era”.
