SAIB(UK) was elected as member of the 3rd Standing Committee of China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (2019-11-11)
On October 24, 2019, the 2019 Official Members’ Meeting of the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK) was held in London, and the Chairman of SAIB(UK) attended the meeting. At the meeting, SAIB(UK) was elected as member of the Standing Committee of CCCUK for the second time in a row.
Ms. Bao Ling, the Minister-counselor for Economic and Commercial of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, Mr. Fang Wenjian, the Chairman of CCCUK, and 130 other member representatives of CCCUK attended the meeting. The meeting fully affirmed the important contributions of the 2nd Standing Committee in aspects of promoting China-UK economic and trade cooperation and healthy and orderly development of Chinese-funded enterprises in the UK, and elected the 3rd Standing Committee. The total quantity of members of the 3rd Standing Committee of CCCUK is 27 and SAIB(UK) is the only insurance brokerage company of them. The remaining 26 companies include BOC, CCB, ICBC, China Taiping Insurance, China Telecom, PetroChina, Huawei Group and other large state-owned enterprises and UK branch of giant private companies.
CCCUK is an important force representing the interests of the Chinese-funded enterprises, safeguarding the rights and interests of Chinese-funded enterprises, and conducting foreign exchanges and cooperation under the support and leadership of the Chinese Embassy in the UK. It is a “stabilizer” and “booster” for China-UK economic and trade cooperation. During the time of being one of the members of the 2nd Standing Committee of CCCUK, SAIB(UK) had earnestly fulfilled its duties and provided high-quality and thoughtful services for CCCUK’s members. This is the second time that SAIB(UK) being elected as member of Standing Committee of CCCUK, it not only represents honor and trust, but also represents responsibility and mission. SAIB(UK) will continue to use its professional advantages in the insurance industry to promote exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese-funded enterprises, to expand China-UK economic and trade cooperation, and to make new contributions to the development of China-UK relationship under the leadership of CCCUK.
