SAIB Attended the First Lujiazui International Reinsurance Conference (2019-11-20)

From November 3 to 5, 2019, the First Lujiazui International Reinsurance Conference co-sponsored by the Lujiazui Financial City Council, the Shanghai Insurance Exchange, and Lujiazui Administration of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Management Committee was held in Shanghai. Mr. Nick Mayhew, General Manager of SAIB(UK), attended the meeting on behalf of the company.

The theme of this conference is “Creating a Global Community of Risk Management : Cooperation and Win-win”. It is the first annual global reinsurance trader conference held by China and the financial service supporting activity of the service & trade section of the 2nd China International Import Expo. During the three-day conference, SAIB and nearly 700 guests, company representatives, news medias and other people from the United States, Britain, Sweden, Germany, Japan, Korea and other countries and regions listened to keynote speeches of leaders and experts, and conducted in-depth business exchanges with insurance institutions, reinsurance agencies, insurance brokers and international rating agencies from home and abroad.

As the first Chinese insurance brokerage company to achieve the insurance broker business license  in the  UK,  the  first Chinese  Lloyd’s broker, one of the main sponsors of the Asia Pacific Insurance Brokers Alliance and the only member of Brokerslink in mainland China, SAIB has never change its international development path. Under the joint efforts of the head office and the UK subsidiary, SAIB not only arranged international reinsurance for many large domestic and foreign projects, but also provided overseas business for the Chinese market, involving energy insurance, property insurance, ship insurance, credit insurance, etc., and the business scope covers Europe, America, Southeast Asia and Africa. At the same time, SAIB is a local insurance broker born in Shanghai and it is committed to supporting the development of Shanghai International Financial Center. In the future, SAIB will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the international reinsurance market, to promote the gathering of international reinsurance business in Shanghai, and to promote a further integration of China’s reinsurance market and global market.
