2020 Muck & Slag Committee Q4 Director’s Meeting of Shanghai city appearance and Environment Sanitation Association was held at Shanghai Third-party Safety Monitoring Platform(2020-12-22)

On 17 December 2020, the fourth quarter of Director’s Meeting of Shanghai City Environmental and Sanitation Industry Association Muck & Slag Committee was held at Shanghai Third-party Safety Monitoring Platform which is operated by SAIB. Zhang Qixiang, General Secretary of the Association, Jin Chen, Deputy General Secretary and other representatives attended the meeting.

According to the schedule, on behalf of the Third-party Safety Monitoring Platform, SAIB made a presentation in front of the Association and other attending members, mainly the enterprises in the industry. SAIB shared the latest data after the implementation of the new Regulation and SAIB also explained how to enhance the supervision over vehicle transportation by adopting a hybrid method of “people + technical prevention”. The new monitoring method is called “the Floating Scheme” for dump trucks which was also introduced, as well as the precedents in other cities. At the end of the meeting, SAIB answered a few inquiries from representatives of participating enterprises. General Secretary Zhang Qixiang and Deputy General Secretary Jin Chen expressed their appreciation to SAIB’s recent performance and they also gave further instructions on the next phase of the work to the Third-party Safety Monitoring Platform.

Shanghai Third-party Safety Monitoring Platform will strengthen the supervision over the process of vehicle transport in accordance with the idea of “three-priorities”, which includes spotting the potential safety hazard, correcting the potential safety problems and enforcing a closed-loop management to reduce the accidents. Also a rewarding mechanism has been established via the Floating Scheme. The Floating Scheme should help to ensure the proper management in a long-run and it will further increase the enthusiasm of transport enterprises in vehicle safety management. As the operator of the third-party safety monitoring platform, SAIB will continue to help to complete Shanghai Smart Transport, to ensure the road traffic safety in Shanghai, and to offer greater contributions to make this city liveable.
