SAIB guarantees the operation of 2023 SHANGHAI ROLEX MASTERS（2023-10-20）
The 2023 SHANGHAI ROLEX MASTERS, sponsored by the General Administration of Sport of China and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, organized by the Chinese Tennis Association, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Sports, Shanghai Municipal Minhang District People’s Government and Shanghai Jiushi (Group) Co., LTD., had successfully ended on Oct 15,2023. During the event, Shanghai Asian Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “SAIB”) had arranged staff to full-time stand by on site and provided comprehensive insurance services with our expertise to ensure the event go smoothly .
As the only ATP 1000-point event in Asia Pacific, The 2023 SHANGHAI ROLEX MASTERS made an upgrade comeback after a three-year hiatus. Notably, the Schedule was extended from 9 to 14 days, accompanied by an expansion of the singles draw from 56 to 96 participants and 60% increased in number of competitions . Additionally, advanced technologies such as UAV shooting was introduced for the first time to make participants enjoy better in Qizhong Tennis Center Hall 1.
As a professional risk management consultant for Shanghai Municipal Administration of Sports and insurance service agency for this event, SAIB has provided a package of insurance broking and risk management services for this event since 2015. This event is the first return of SHANGHAI ROLEX MASTERS after the pandemic of COVID-19.Various changes significantly increased pressure and difficulty in risk management and insurance coverage. To overcome these challenges, during the preparation of this event, SAIB added members based on original service team and established a new team led by Assistant General Manager Mr Zhenhua Lee, composed of insurance professionals and risk management experts for sports events who worked together with ATP Association, sponsors and organizers to investigate and evaluate the risks on site. Comprehensive insurance proposal was made to include UAV in the insurance coverage for the first time, which provided full coverage throughout every part of this event.
Other than previous years, the service team from SAIB was monitoring on site two days prior to the commencement of the competition in order to ensure prompt action and response to the emergency. Furthermore, prior to Roger Federer’s attendance at the “Super Friends Night” event in Shanghai, the organizers decided to provide him a set of insurance coverage throughout his trip. SAIB’s broking team took an immediate action to communicate with Roger Federer’s team regarding insurance schedule and proposal. Relying on our company’s seamless international business channels and extensive experience in international insurance program, the Chinese and English insurance policies had been finally issued within a half day, which was highly recognized by all relevant parties as well as Roger Federer’s team.
Over the years, SAIB has been devoting ourselves to insurance broking service and risk management for various kinds of sports events domestically and overseas by virtue of professional skills and dedication, which is widely recognized. Moving forward, SAIB will persistently concentrate focus on the risk management of international and domestic sports events and bring high-tech means and advanced concepts to make contributions to the security of large-scale sports events in Shanghai as well as the development of Shanghai’s sports industry.
