Asian Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. Marine Insurance Team Invited to Deliver Lecture for “Next-Generation Leadership Programme for Shipping Enterprises”（2026-04-30）
On April 24, Mr. Wang Chengbao, General Manager of Asian Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “SAIB”), led the company’s marine insurance team to deliver a specialised lecture for the “Next-Generation Leadership Programme for Shipping Enterprises.”
The programme is jointly organised by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Shanghai Shipowners’ Association, and co-organised by the Shanghai International Shipping Center Development Promotion Association. It aims to enhance the strategic management, operational management, and innovation capabilities of the next generation of leaders in shipping enterprises through systematic and professional training, helping companies achieve sustainable development in a complex and evolving market environment.
During the session, SAIB approached the topic from the perspective of marine insurance, systematically outlining the risk protection needs of different insured parties. The team provided detailed analysis of the coverage scope and applicable scenarios of major insurance classes, and drawing on policy wordings and typical claims cases, explained key aspects of hull and marine insurance. The lecture also covered geopolitical risks in regions such as the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Persian Gulf—areas designated in international marine insurance as “Listed Areas” (Special War Risk Zones). Key coverage elements, claims handling considerations, and important practical notes were highlighted, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of marine insurance. Following the session, participants actively raised questions related to common issues encountered in daily operations. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere.
