As China’s first medical workers’ football league themed around public health education, this year’s “Med Super League” opening ceremony featured a series of highlights. Traditional dragon and lion dance performances energised the atmosphere, while a dedicated health education session invited experts in sports science and orthopaedic medicine to deliver lectures on sports injury prevention and scientific exercise methods.

The opening match saw Xinhua Hospital face off against the Jiayi FC United Team, with both sides demonstrating strong tactical discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the pitch. By combining football with health education, the league not only provides healthcare professionals with a platform to relieve stress and strengthen communication, but also promotes scientific fitness concepts to the wider public.
